Chelsea Patricia Ramirez - From struggle, UC Riverside 2020 graduate learned optimism
“Chelsea Ramirez didn’t know a lot of consistency when she was growing up in Southern California. The daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, the family – mom, dad, and four kids – was constantly on the move from one home, and one city, to another. She learned from good humor from her parents’ example, and unrelenting drive. In fall 2020, she will attend the esteemed USC School of Cinematic Arts, where she will pursue a master’s degree in film production. She is attending as the recipient of a George Lucas fellowship.” - John Warren, UCR Magazine
